The ph33r craze was a big thing in 2002. It basically involved a clock character being spun around the screen with the words “ph33r (clock)” in epileptic colours. All the movies use the same music, Sci-Fi Wasabi by Cibo Matto (not the full song, but a loop taken from it).

It all began with RaspberryClock’s Flash “Ph33r Strawberryclock” submitted with the comments “I made this to relieve the tension of PHP programming. Enjoy”. OrangeClock then made a parody of this flash with “Ph33r Vaginor” (“ I made this to relieve the tension of my swollen testicles. Enjoy!”) Grapes and Olskoo both made their own ph33r movies and eventually everyone was busy making their own ph33r movies, it caught on like wildfire and became one of the Clock Crew’s most memorable fads.

Nowadays it takes a very special ph33r movie to pass judgement and the craze is pretty much dead now, but the internet-slang word is often still used in a jokey way. It is also a part of 1337 5P33K.
