The Phlash Phandango was a creation of LeekClock, who decided it would be suitable way to inspire fellow clocks to participate in animation. The first one was held on May 9th of 2008 (6 Phandango’s have been held as of September 29th of the same year)

The rules of this event are generally simple. The winner of the last contest decides the theme of the event, and gives the participants (usually) around one week to produce the animation and submit it to Newgrounds. Anyone is allowed to enter, but only Clocks, Clockfriends and any rank above that on the forums can vote (To prevent mass account creation for upvoting). The winner of the Phandango gets this awesome ClockCrew poster, as well as the right to choose the theme of the next Phandango. People who have won more than once are given a custom @clockcrew.cc email to use.
