Clock Crew Groups are small, focused communities within the larger Clock Crew community, giving individual Clocks the ability and the responsibility to lead their own projects, and share knowledge with other Clocks.
Project Groups allow multiple Clocks, who are working on the same project, to have their own personal area on the site to organise their plans.
Mentorship Groups give established Clocks the ability to offer their expertise and knowledge of the Clock Crew to newer members. 'Adopted' clockfriends can check back to their mentor's group for teachings, announcements and philosophies. Clocks have the chance to teach their personal perspective on the Clock Crew, as well as the ability to set tasks and challenges that will hone their apprentices' skills.
Groups can also be simply forums for specialist topics such as native languages, obscure hobbies, or video gaming clans.
The groups are lightly moderated and although they follow the global rules of the site they enable people to just get to the converse topics relevant to their groups.
Ultimately a group is the responsibility of the group leader (Conch Holder) who will promote and encourage discussion as well uphold the rules of the site and any which they may have set specifically for the group.
