Holy shit. That sucks. He's pretty awesome. I guess he seems to be ok (considering the pictures, anyway), according to the few news articles I looked up. Hopefully he stays that way.

It's like they aren't the same movie..

The TV spots would not make me want to see this..

Speaking of summer releases... they've pushed GI Joe II back to next Spring (supposedly to convert to 3D... but I think they just don't want to go up against 3 much larger superhero movies and get swallowed up like Battleship did.)

Yeah, I seriously doubt they need 9 months for that kind of conversion. What stupids.

I liked the shady marketing for Battleship where they tried to Jedi Mind Trick people into thinking it was made by the Transformers movie people:

Ima go make a movie about Bop It.

Haha, yeah. "From the company that sold the rights of one of their lines of products to a totally different production company, comes..."

They really went all-out on Battleship merchandising.

It feels more like a scheme than a movie production.

Haven't seen it. But the movie presumably ends with a kid, hand on his forehead proclaiming 'awwwww you sank my battleship' while his sister sneers at him smugly across a table.

It'll all be up to which side hides its destroyer well enough. I'd guess that the aliens in the movie take out all of the navy's big ships first, then fire around in frustration while the navy slowly catches up and eventually wins because their destroyer stays hidden.
